Welcome to the Portrait Research User Guide. Portrait is built to accelerate the investment research process — helping analysts generate actionable ideas, rapidly build context on those ideas, and maintain that context through ongoing research, monitoring, and alerts.
The platform is organized along three workflows:
- Idea Generation — Screening, and the Companies catalog
- Context Building — Ask Easel, Deep Research, Case Studies, and Charts
- Maintaining Context — Monitors, the Inbox, and My Library
Two things are worth knowing before you start. Ask Easel sits at the top of the left navigation and is the fastest way in — describe what you want and the agent works out which sources and tools to use. And My Library is where your own files, notes, prompt templates, and skills live, so context you have already explained once is available everywhere.
