Settings & Your Account

Open Settings from your name at the bottom of the left navigation, or from the Command Center. It opens as an overlay over whatever you were doing, so nothing you had open is lost.

General

Your organization and account email, and Appearance — light or dark. The guide's screenshots follow whichever you pick.

Usage

Your monthly research usage: credits consumed and remaining. Deep Research runs and Easel sessions both draw on this, whether started in the app or from a connected AI client over Portrait MCP. This section appears on accounts with usage-based pricing.

Connections

External data you connect yourself. FRED — a free API key from the St. Louis Fed — unlocks macro series in Charts. Paste the key here once and Portrait uses it for every macro chart; removing the connection deletes the stored key.

Archived

Projects you have archived. Restore one to bring it back, or delete it permanently. Archived content is hidden from the rest of the app until you restore it.
