Monitors

Inbox

Last reviewed

Inbox groups Monitor entries, scheduled Screening results, and eligible Scheduled Research notifications by recency. Ordinary Easel answers, Deep Research reports, and Mosaic results remain in their own workflows.

What lands here

The entries covered by this guide are:

  • Monitor updates — an individual development surfaced from a selected supported source.
  • Monitor summaries — a Monitor launch brief that provides initial context, or a 90-day summary of captured updates. These have different triggers; see Generate a 90-day Monitor summary.
  • Screening runs — a completed scheduled run that establishes a first result or surfaces newly matching companies. Runs without new matches are omitted.
  • Monitor suggestions — the initial set of suggested monitors generated for a project.
  • Scheduled research — run notifications allowed by the task's delivery policy, including failure or cancellation notices. Silent successful runs stay in task history. See Scheduled Research notifications.

Rows show their type and arrival time, plus the originating Monitor, screen, or Project and company badges when that metadata is available.

Triage your feed

  • Filter between Unread (the default) and All.
  • In the web app, open an Inbox item to read it. On supported iOS versions, Inbox can open scheduled Screening runs and Monitor updates or summaries, including a Monitor without a Project. Use the item's canonical link and confirm the run or update you opened.
  • Opening an unread Monitor update, summary, suggestion, or Scheduled Research notification marks it as read.
  • Mark all as read affects unread entries matching the active type and Project filters across your history, not only loaded rows. There is no mark-unread action; narrow the filters and confirm the scope first. Screening runs have no read state.

Use the type and Project filters to narrow the feed. On web, the reader offers Ask Easel for supported content; the selected item provides its context. A new notification, a completed run, and successful email delivery are separate outcomes.

Remove entries from your Inbox

In the web app, select entries and use Delete selected to hide them from your own Inbox. This commits immediately; use Undo while it is offered to restore that selection.

Delete all matching items applies to the full history matching the active type, Project, and read-state filters, including entries that have not loaded on screen. Review those filters and the confirmation before continuing. This operation does not offer the selection's Undo action.

Deleting Inbox entries does not delete their original research or Projects, remove another user's entries, or stop a Monitor or scheduled task. Open the original item to inspect it; use Manage a Monitor or Manage scheduled tasks to control future work. If removal fails, refresh the feed and check its state before trying again.

To keep a separate copy of a Monitor result, export it from the Monitor's web view.
